Abstract: | The Teaching Start-Up Grant project Visual Music - Music Visuals, for Performance and Exhibition gives SCM students the opportunity to create music-related abstract animation sequences for outside clients-collaborators, through the undergraduate course SM3717 Special Topics in Animation. These works will be presented in two versions, first at live concerts-for the first course at HKAPA and CityU, for the second course at Clockenflap Festival- and subsequently as exhibitable standalone pieces at international film and media art festivals. This leads to the creation of new knowledge and artworks, raises the profile of SCM and CityU, and teaches students to think as artists and creative media creators who contribute to the culture at large. |
