Abstract: | In recent years, the number of mobile device users is dramatically increasing. Most of them use it as the main personal organizer for home or office use. As a result, there are always needs for mobile users to remotely access their own information/applications which reside on their desktop PC at home or at offices. Currently there is no simple solution to achieve this unless a large scale deployment of some corporation solution, such as Microsoft Exchange Server (and some expensive smartphone or PDA phones are required). At the same time, office application like Microsoft Excel is the most convenient and simplest data storage for most companies. The proposal here addresses this problem by providing simple solution for personal users which enables them to achieve this just by installing simple PC server software and by using Pocket PC based PDA as mobile client. |
