dc.description.abstract | "Book Reading System for blind people" is a system using personal computer (PC) as the platform. With the help of scanner speaker and microphone, it can scan the books, recognize words and then read out. The whole process can be controlled by voice, keyboard or mouse. So blind people can use voice control the program instead of find keys on keyboard. This system supports Cantonese which is not appear in market. The main technologies needed are Scanner control, OCR, Text-to-speech and voice recognition. | en_US |
