| dc.description.abstract | A fingerprint hardware device for access control use will be developed. The device will link up with a contactless smart card system to provide fingerprint template storage and on/off-line access controlling. Two systems will be developed to test the device, i.e. the registration system and reader system. The registration system will be used together with smart card for accessing control registration and personalization. The reader system based on smart card system will be installed at various installations to provide security for avoiding invalid access. The accuracy of the whole system will also be studied to assess the device's integrity. | en_US |
