Abstract: | This projects aims at studying the possibility of adding intelligence to current general search engine to produce intelligent search engine system. The intelligent search engine would understand the actual intention of users with a few user relevance feedbacks The main target is to utilize models in Information Retrieval (IR) in internet search engine to implement an Intelligent Internet Search Engine. Two models are applied are Generalized Vector Space Model (GVSM) and Adaptive Linear Model. The intelligent search engine applies Generalized Vector Space Model (GVSM) in the indexing and ranking of web pages. Then it handles the user feedbacks according to Adaptive Linear Model, to re-ranking the search results according to relevance feedbacks. After considering feedbacks on a few number of search results, refined search results would be of high quality. The result of this project would give an evaluation on the utilization of IR techniques used in Internet document retrieval. |
