| Abstract: | The World Wide Web becomes a major resource for people nowadays. Most people depend on the web to access all kind of information they need. The best way to find information on any subject on the World Wide Web is to visit any of several search services, also known as search engines. These sites allow you to look up information on just about anything, and will point you to the best places on the web to learn more about your topic. Popular search engines are: 1. Alta Vista 2. Ask Jeeves 3. Excite 4. Google 5. InfoSeek 6. Lycos 7. Yahoo The above search engine is suitable for users who want to search their desire information from the web. But how about for people who want to setup their own site and have their own site search engine. This project can be one of solution for them. This project Site Indexing / Search Engine is an internet application aims to provide a self owned, powerful, fully customizable and effective site indexing/searching system for any web site. |
