| Abstract: | Nowadays, computer is vital to the modern business world. Many companies have put their
business online in order to enjoy the opportunity gained from worldwide by the power of the
Internet. However, the cost is not cheap, especially the long-running maintenance fee. To the
boss and for the best of the company, the system should better run 24/7 (24 hours a day, 7
days a week).
This project is to develop a remote control software named Remote Commander on mobile
phone. It implements the RFB protocol, which is designed for thin client. Reomote
Commander controls a remote computer by mean of sending command line. The command
line could be as simple as a name of executable that launches an application that does not
need user’s intervention. It could also be a DOS batch program (.bat in file extension) that
executes a serious of commands.
With Remote Commander installed mobile phone, whenever receiving end-user reports,
system administrator could perform recovery procedures at any time anywhere and thus
provide instant responses to end- user.
In the server-side, system administrators firstly define a set of program that is to carry out
specific administrative task. Then they could easily execute those program with Remote
Commander. Furthmore, Remote Commander provides a set functions for them to maintain a
set of frequestly used command line, making those command line be more easily and quickly
accessible. |
