| Abstract: | Due to the rapid development of modern digital signal processing technology,
OFDM has become popular in wireless data communication because of its high data
rate transmission without ISI. In this report, multi-band Orthogonal Frequency-
Division Multiplexing (OFDM) transceiver for IEEE 802.15.3a to support wireless
personal area networks (WPAN) is investigated. The main purpose of this report is to
improve the performance of the system by using sub-band allocation. By achieving
this purpose, the bit error rate (BER) without sub-band allocation was plotted in
simulation, and then different methods of sub-band allocation were added in the
simulation. Finally the BER results with different sub-band allocation methods and
without sub-band allocations are compared, in order to find a good sub-band
allocation method which improves the performance of the system most. |
