| Abstract: | In this project, a Smart Home System was developed by combined two
subsystems together which were wireless remote control system and internet home
security system.
The wireless remote control system was mainly responsible for remotely-control
the home appliances by wireless personal devices such as notebook and PDA through
wireless TCP/IP network, devices’ monitoring, devices’ activation control, devices’
logging and user management. The internet home security system was mainly
responsible for remote monitoring using Web Camera, setting various event alarm
method during a person illegally enter a flat such as capturing the photos and
recording the video for security issue. I was mainly responsible for developing the
front subsystem and my partner responsible for the rear part.
We combined two subsystems together to a Smart Home System in order to
provide a comfortable wireless remote-control home appliances service with the
usable home security function to users. As a result, people can use the Smart Home
System to make home management easier using their wireless personal devices at
anywhere in anytime. |
