| Abstract: | In this project, a SmartMedia card reader for Personal Digital Assistant (PDA) running on Palm OS has been constructed. The card reader can perform various functions like read, write and erase on SmartMedia with different memory capacity varying from 8MB up to 128MB. It is targeted to work on PDA running the Palm OS. A set of Application Programming Interface (API) for the reader has also been written so that any applications targeted for Palm OS devices can use this set of API to access the reader. A demonstration program has been written to illustrate the functions of the API. |
