Abstract: A new semi-blind channel estimation method for orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) is presented. The method uses both pilot part and transmitted data for the channel estimation. A deterministic frequency-domain objective function for an OFDM frame is de ned. It contains a sum of squared error for the pilot part and a sum of weighted squared generalized magnitude error for the data part. The generalized datasignal term has two parameters:
