Wireless electronic billing system for water supplies department

Abstract

A billing system for Water Supplies Department which applies wireless, electronic and computer technologies to gather water meter reading and process the data automatically. Electronic water meter is used to sample the analog sensor signal, convert it to digital data and communicate with base station through RF signal, base station does flow control, error checking and then transfer the data to central server through network, database system in server is used to store subscriber information and update the meter data, network technologies provide instant access of subscriber information for account unit, maintenance unit, customer service unit.
