Abstract: Knowledge has been recognized as an important asset for organizations to gain competitive advantage. Increasingly capable Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) and Information Systems (IS) have been developed and employed by organizations to facilitate Knowledge Management (KM). Beside strategic advantages and financial benefits, organizations are concerned with how to motivate employees to share their knowledge in order to obtain valuable knowledge, facilitate KM processes and get the greatest benefits from the investments in KM technologies. This paper aims to: (1) develop a measurement of trust which has long been identified as a critical facilitator of the use of KMS and knowledge sharing, (2) a comprehensive research model for studying the actual behavior and behavioral intention of using KMS to share knowledge within an organization and (3) study the impact of trust on the use of KMS to share knowledge. Literature review and survey were conducted to provide support for this research. Keywords: Organizational knowledge management, Knowledge management systems, Knowledge sharing, Organizational trust.
