The main objective of my project is to simulate a cloth model that is being placed on an irregular shaped object. It includes a static simulation of the cloth model and a simulation of the animation of the cloth model that freely falls on an irregular shaped object. For this project, I have studied some conference papers, journal papers and book on the simulation of cloth model. After the literature search, I started to decide how to implement the simulation and I selected to use 3D Studio Max 5 for the simulation of the cloth model. I use a particle representation for the design of the cloth model and use a three-phase process to simulate the movement of the cloth model. They are the Dynamic phase, Energy Minimization phase and the Velocity Correction phase. I test the method by simulating the cloth model that is placed on some irregular shaped objects like cube, L-shaped object. The quality of the result is justified by observation. The result seems quite realistic and the method also works in the animation of cloth model.en_US
