dc.description.abstractHuman resources management procedures may differ between companies. However, all of the recruiters have to face the same problems – handling large amount of resumes and find out the most suitable candidates. The resumes could be in different formats and file types; it is time-consuming to manage them one by one. Even worse recruiters may overlook some details information in the resumes and some suitable candidates are filtered out. As recruitment involves large number of resumes reading and analysis process, slow process in recruitment is resulted. In turns, it may lead to many organizations loss satisfied candidates. Hence, some companies, especially for those have limited HR resource one, tends to outsource their recruitment process. Although some of them have made use resume analysis products in existing market to minimize the cost of recruiting, many details of applicants are missed and hence the best candidates still cannot be found out. This report would explain how to analyze the resumes under predefined rule-set to categorize the details information of candidates and make use the plat-form-independent data storage to store the analysis result. In addition, in order to allow recruiters review the resumes database, a user-friendly interface is provided. After comparing the existing products, results from the tests show that the system able to categorize more information of applicants than other system although the precision in categorization still has room to improve.en_US
