Abstract: | Information in internet is growing dramatically in the past decades. A lot of useless search results are easily retrieved when user perform a search in search engine. How to improve the quality of search result is an important issue in search in search engine area. There are many studies on query formulation satisfying every user with his/her unique preference. An approach to optimize search result to every user is allowing user to give feedback on search results. Vector space model and Adaptive Linear Model are used to construct the information retrieval system. Query will be reformulated based on the feedback from user on the content of some web documents. Reformulation query are expected to cover most relevant web documents in the collections of the search result. The project aims to implement a system mentioned above to improve the search accuracy of the search engine. Set of web documents which are relevant to user preference could be retrieved automatically and save time for user to filter the irrelevant web documents. |
