dc.description.abstract | Web application is a popular software environment for both developers and end users. The accessibility and the multi-platform support help developers popularize their service to end users. Nowadays web application can also provide complex functionalities. The “Google Docs” and “Adobe Photoshop Online Edition” are the typical examples. Mobile device is also a popular software environment. The mobile device provide high mobility environment for the developer deploying their service. In this project, we discuss the pros and cons of adapting the web application into mobile environment. The discussion shows the benefit of the combination is so impressive. But the combination also contains a number of difficulties. Since there is no existing Mobile Ajax Framework available for developers solving those difficulties, we proposed a solution and created an application framework call “XWAM” to experiment the solution. The XWAM shows that although the Mobile Ajax is not the best among all mobile web application development environments, but XWAM can provide some properties and benefits that is hardly be achievable at the other developer environment. The results of this project may help the other mobile application developers understanding the current technology trend. It also suggests a new mechanism for developer solving the multi-environment problems. | en_US |
