Image editing application development -III

Abstract

The aim of this final year project is to develop an image organizing & editing software which also include extra internet-related or desktop-related functionalities. Compared with photo editing tools in the software market, we want to create a new revolution of image software which has a great integration of organizing functions (e.g. 3D photo wall viewing), editing functions and extra functions (e.g. capture series of images in movie, create animated GIF picture, GPS image locator, and more...). With user-friendly interface, our user can easily make One-Stop of "Photo" & "Software" tasks only in our software - "Photo Gadget". The development platform we use is the latest Microsoft .NET framework 3.5 with C# language, which is also support in Windows XP, Vista or 7. Instead of using traditional WINFORM development, we use a new revolution technology WPF (Windows Presentation Foundation) to develop our software. WPF is the newest technology which is created by Microsoft to replace the 20-years history of WINFORM. The advantages of WPF include separation of interface code & logic code, enhancing data binding, supporting multimedia, etc. Therefore, we choose WPF for our development technology.
