Robots are widely used in many industries. It can increase the efficiency of the mass production. On the other hand, robots are useful in unpleasant or dangerous environments for humans to work in, such as bomb disposal, working in underwater or space and cleaning of toxic waste. As the rapidly growth in wireless technology, wireless robots become more and more common in many industries. In this project, wireless robotic car was investigated. A car which can be controlled through the Internet was developed. Users use the networked computer to browse “WiFi car control panel” web page. This web page was designed for controlling the car and displaying the real time image through the Internet. This real time image was captured by a web camera which was installed onto the car. WiFi dongle was used to establish the connection between the car and the Internet. The core system of the car was implemented on an ARM based platform. Embedded Linux was chosen as the operating system for this platform.en_US
