Intelligent web crawling browser

Abstract

This project aims at addressing the current problems of general search engine such as Yahoo! and Google. The core of this project is the exploration of the new information retrieval technique called Focused Web Crawling, which improve the speed of crawling web pages for indexing in search engine. Enlighten by the technique, which employs Bayesian Classifier in crawling, an idea of making the search engine to reside in client side, to achieve the goal of customized searching is done. The result of the project gives an evaluation of the techniques used on improving the information retrieval technique.
