This project is about the use of GMM (Gaussian Mixture Model) to estimate the high band frequency envelopes of CELP coded speech signals. CELP (Code Excited Linear Predictive) coder can compress a speech signal up to 4.8 kbps, and it is widely used in telephone networks with the bandwidth limited from 0.3 to 3.4 khz. The objective of this project is to accept 0~4 khz low band speech envelopes as input and estimate the 4~8 khz high band envelopes by means of GMM.en_US
