Integrated Computer Administrative System (ICAS) for EPA centre

Abstract

This project aims at improving the design and operations of a developed ICAS (described in previous section) presently in use at the EPA Centre of City University of Hong Kong. There is not any application without bugs, ICAS also. The first task is debugging. Also, some parts of system are not convenient to EPA staff to use. The system adjustment, improvement and maintenance are necessary to be carried out. On the other hand, new data form and report are introduced in order to provide more services. However, database design for the system does not allow such expansion. The major problem is due to the wrong data type of data. As a result, it is necessary to design a new database for further development. Moreover, new technology for implementation is introduced in order to make the system running efficiently. The new system is called ICAS2.
