| Abstract: | To solve the crisis caused by global energy shortage and global warming, the idea of Smart Power Grid is introduced. Smart Grid optimized energy utilization via generator-customer communication, appliances monitoring and distributed energy generator.
Smart Grid consists of smart meters, intelligent applications, IT networks and distributed power generator. Yet, global standards have not yet been established. In this project, a telecommunication network model based on existing documents for Smart Grid will be introduced.
The Smart Grid telecommunication modeling will be distributed into two parts: Model Design and Analysis. In the first part, a model of communication network infrastructure for the Smart Grid will be introduced. In the second part, result obtained from simulator will be analyzed through varying different parameters. Finally, a model of Hong Kong building Smart Grid telecom network model will be mocked. |
