In this paper, I consider a well-known network survivability problem that aims to minimize transport cost subject to allowing sufficient redundant capacity so that the traffic demands can be rerouted and successfully transported between the sources and their destinations in case of link failure. I learn linear programming and study significant research conducted to achieve network survivability. Available optimizations are not scalable to realistic network, and heuristics are not efficient in certain case. I provide an optimal algorithm for one link failure in fully meshed network and a heuristic algorithm of low complexity that can be applied to any case of link failure. Finally I compare the performance between the optimal solution and heuristic method by CPLEX ILOG STUDIO and MATLAB.en_US
