Abstract: | Nowadays, many people like shopping online through accessing the websites such as eBay and Yahoo bid by using computer. It is because the price of the goods is more competitive; the users are more convenient to find out their interested items by using search engines. Besides, using smart phone for work or entertainment is getting popular in Hong Kong. For example: peoples are using the smart phone to chat with friends or colleagues, people are using the smart phone to browse the website or inquiring information. And it is believed that mobile shopping will become the main trend in modern world, people will use the smart phone to purchase the goods and sell their products. However, the existing trading systems (like eBay and Taobao) are not designed for mobile devices. Most of the trading systems are the web based application. Since the mobile devices cannot fully support flash and JavaScript, and some errors may be occurred on the mobile devices. Also, those trading systems can only support online auction. The aim of this project is develop an e-commerce system (eBuy) which provides a platform for the buyers and the sellers to communicate. It supports different trading methodologies such as auction, barter, and group buying. It provides new features (such as notification, promote the product by Facebook) for the user. Also, it is more suitable for the mobile devices. |
