S is software to simulate a designed antenna’s results. In the project, the HFSS simulated results of reflection coefficient and radiation patterns are used. Rectangular dielectric resonator antenna was studied for the background knowledge. After studying, the rectangular DRA was changed to a swan-shaped DRA. Swan DRA was identified to be practical. In this project, it targeted to modify the swan antenna in other usages. First, swan DRA with 2.4GHz resonant frequency was designed and simulated by HFSS. Then fabrication and measurement of swan DRA which was according to the dimensions in HFSS modal were done. The measurement and simulation results were verified. Second, a unidirectional antenna with swan dielectric is investigated based on the simulation of previous part. After verifying the frequencies contributed by dielectric and the monopole, the dimensions of several parameters are adjusted in order to combine the dielectric mode and monopole mode. Then the radiation patterns are checked to determine whether the patterns are expected. Third, rectangular slot was changed to H-shaped slot based on the first part. It aims to have a resonant frequency contributed by the dielectric. So the DRA have the resonant frequency at 2.4GHz when the swan dielectric resonator is used.en_US
