Abstract: | According to the statistics form the Global Green of USA, 40% of the world’s resources and energy use are consumed in living environment related activities. Hence the students should equip themselves with basic knowledge of sustainable products adopted in living environment in terms of its impact on environment and the related self-assessment of how "green the students are" in their existing living environment. For these purposes, in the academic year 2012-13 Semester B, a GE course titled "Discovering the Living Environment: How Green Are You?" will be launched. In order to enhance the intended learning outcomes of the course and enrich the curriculum with greater degree of innovative, this proposed project seeks to develop an e-Platform for Innovative Green-going Strategy (ePIGS) that aims to equip students with a tool for collectively discovering the domains of sustainability and green strategy. The anticipated deliverables for the project include establishment of an e-platform that integrates various learning activities and provides equipment for instant on-line sharing and peer/self-assessment. In addition, the proposed e-platform will become a pilot project for the aforementioned GE course and is planned to be applied for other courses in future. |
