|Abstract:||A commonly used method for heart rate detection is using a pulse oximeter and a commonly used method for atrial fibrillation detection is taking an electrocardiogram (ECG) test at hospital They are not convenient, costly and without mobile ability. In addition, atrial fibrillation is a serious health problem affecting our respiratory system and increasing the risk of stroke, diabetes and high blood pressure. Therefore, in this project, an Android application is developed to perform atrial fibrillation detection and a developed fingertip video based heart rate monitoring app is enhanced. This project is divided into mainly two part: enhancement of a developed fingertip video based heart rate monitoring apps called "My Heart Rate" and developing a new atrial fibrillation detection apps called "Photo Afib Detector". For My Heart Rate ,the UI design is improved and the Auto Fingertip Detection for start/stop the heart rate monitoring function is added. For the Photo Afib Detector, atrial Fibrillation detection is developed with the algorithms of Root Mean Square of Successive Difference of RR intervals(RMSSD) and Shannon entropy.(ShE)|
