Throughout the history, rooftop space has been developed with the uniqueness of Hong Kong. In resistance to society’s spatial use, rooftop culture was then derived and used to negotiate for not only physical space, but also a symbolic space. However, they are being ignored in history and rooftop space is being demolished nowadays. We would like to re-present unaware rooftop history and culture under present context and to discover potential development of rooftop space in the dimension of culture and art in Hong Kong context. We also want to raise the public awareness about the preservation of Tong Lau (唐樓).en_US
