Abstract: | Nowadays, smart phone is becoming one of the necessary tools in human life. The "app", which refers to the mobile application, is one of the success reason for the mobile devices. Users can download the app from the App Store in iOS and Google Play in Android. But there are some limitations for the user, for example the location constraints, users in Hong Kong cannot download the app of Japan, or the devices constraints, for example some mobile devices are not able to find some apps due to their different device model. Although it can be solved by Jailbreak for iOS and search to download the installation file, which is known as the APK file, from the internet for Android, this brings the user lots of inconvenient in using a smart phone, especially when the users has no computer with them. Also it may come with the bad user experiences that the user cannot download the apps directly if they want. This project, APPer, will mainly focus on solving the stated problem on Android platform. We will design a mobile application for user to download the apps that are not available in their Google Play. The app will conceptually connect to the server and use some APIs in server to get the download methodology for the apps so that the user can download the apps directly in APPer as they want to. |
