Abstract: | Kakuro is a logic puzzle game which likes a mathematic cross-word puzzle mixing with some rules in Sudoku. Players need to fill the grids in the game boards with digits 1 - 9 by answering the clues. The clues given contain a value which could be answered by one sum combination using value 1 - 9 for each of them. There are already some web based Kakuro systems providing platforms for Kakuro players to solve them, but we still could not find an Intelligent Tutoring System (ITS) based system. In this project, we tried to develop a Kakuro ITS for Kakuro players and learners to solve the puzzles with step by step indications provided. The games could be solved by the rules defined in the rule base of the expert system in the ITS. The steps of solving would be given by the tutor model. The student model could record student performance for reviewing. |
