Shareable E-whiteboard

Abstract

In the recent years, the portable devices such as smart phone or tablet have already become an inseparable part of people. We can see a lot of portable devices in our daily life. We can always see someone sending a message, playing game or watching TV drama during travel. Actually, the main factor for those devices becomes a daily necessity which is applications used in the devices. Applications, or called Apps in general, they have different usage and different features that base on their related areas and users. It is possible for a same app has distinct effects on different type of users. Apps can be easily downloaded from the app store which is based on the devices platform (such as Android and iOS) and already categorized. In my observation, there are lacks of practical and educational apps. Therefore, we would want to develop an application which is common tools in the school or some educational areas in the real world for the project. It is Whiteboard. Why whiteboard? What functions it has? A Whiteboard, or called Blackboard which has a different color, is a helper to help teachers display the details which teachers want to explain. It is draw-able and erase-able. Since these two characteristics, teachers can display several types of contents in a short period. The reason for why develop a whiteboard app is that there are some apps related to whiteboard in the app market but they does not enable multiple user uses a same whiteboard at the same time. Multiple user use a same thing at the same time is always a challenge in a different area. So that there is a great chance to face a challenge by developing an app. Back to the functions part, in this app, it provides a lot basic functions which a formal whiteboard must have. In addition, it enables synchronization of drawing different type of drawings in the same time by different users for using a same whiteboard.
