Abstract: | Predicting and steering photon propagation in turbid media such as biological tissue is of great importance in biophotonics. To help teaching in the biophotonics course, I propose a laboratory module to develop a set of basic computational and experimental tools to help students to simulate and trace the complicated photon propagation, as well as experimentally focusing light through highly scattering media such as thick biological tissues. The students will also be encouraged to propose their own creative approaches to implement the wavefront shaping. This will induce great interest among students and help them achieve their own best potential of innovation. |
