Every CityU students have their own timetable every semester, most of them often have their own personal calendar and academic timetable separated as currently there is no simple-to- use method to make people easily merge their e-calendar with their CityU timetable. Therefore, a solution has been made in this project by directly convert a screenshotted timetable by smart phones to individual events that can be directly import to Google Calendar, synchronizing with user's smart devices. During the whole process, advanced openCV image processing, local OCR detection, and modern iOS application model has been used to provide a simple-to-use, great UI and UX design application for user to simply spend the least amount of time to get the work done. Dedicated server has its infrastructure being designed in this project and hosted in a real cloud computing services. Throughout the testing, 7 of total 10 testing samples have passed the detection and able to send correct event to the Google Calendar and update the events. The remaining 3 of the incorrect samples all have their individual special conditions, showing some limitations of the general solution. But it is believed that this project has not only showed the modern technology of photo processing and OCR detection, it has also demonstrated how specific its application can be and specific tasks can be handled and done by combining the advanced photo processing, OCR and mobile app design technology to provide extraordinary product and services to general people.en_US
