Abstract: | This project is aimed to develop an e -Learning platform website with content about Information and Communication Technology. This is mainly designed for the secondary school students in Hong Kong especially for those who are studying ICT. To develop this e-Learning platform, HTML5, JavaScript, CSS3 would be mainly used. For the server side, XAMPP would be used for server operation, MySQL and php are used for server-side programing and language for maintaining the database. Also, it is designed for computer use but it would also be compatible with other devices such as mobile phones and tablets. The content of the platform is focuses on the part of compulsory part of the DSE courses. It would be mainly focusing on computer system fundamentals including both hardware and software knowledge. It includes the structure of computer, functions and operations of computer, etc. This e-learning platform is consisting of variety of interactive elements and animations. With fruitful content, students would be able to understand and visualize the concepts easily. The advantage of using e-Learning platform is student can use this website to learn at anytime and anywhere. It can help improve student’s quality of learning and it provides different kind of sources to them. The e-learning platform is not only containing the learning part, but also includes the exercises for users to check their process of learning, so to find a suitable way to study ICT. |
