Abstract: | For the present-day society, computing devices had become necessity. From homes to companies, computing devices could be found anywhere. However, most of these devices were designed to be controlled by hands easily. Problems arose for the disabled. Even though majority of the disabled were still capable to use these devices, hand-controlling computing devices were inconvenient tools for them. Some of them might even just roughly be capable to use these hand-controlling devices. Concerning this issue, in this project, computing devices which were not controlled by hands were focused. This project aims to design an application in which the computing devices are controlled by eyeball movement. To be able for the devices controlled by eyeball movement, capturing the real time image of user would be the first step. WebCam was used in this stage. After the images were captured by WebCam, they were processed and analyzed. This helps to detect the movement of the eyeballs. Using the data of horizontal movement of eyeballs and the time users closed their eyes, basic cursor control was successfully done in this project. |
