Abstract: | According to the annual Global Games Market Report, there are more than 2.3 billion dynamic gamers on the planet last year. The gaming industry has advanced into an all-around entertainment wonder. Video game development thus grows much more prominent and widespread. This project emphasis on investigating video game development by creating a computer game from scratch. The game is a 3D action role-playing game focus on eliminating enemies and exploring the map. The map is full of enemies and bosses. The player is required to survive and finished the goal. The game relies on Unity Engine which one of the most popular game engines to develop. Multiple algorithms such as ray casting, collision detection were used to implement innovative game experiences and fun game mechanics. Music, 3D models, animation and graphics were designed during the development process by utilizing different software and tools. The game is still in the prototype stage, but a tremendous amount of process has been done. Most of the gameplay wise elements and game mechanics is finished. The gameplay and character control have been revised multiple times for good and fun game design. |
