Abstract: | In this final year project, a transparent antenna composed of transparent radiation patch and glass substrate is proposed and implemented. This antenna addresses the applications using any buildings with the glass window at 2.4G Hz to 2.5GHz. Many of Wi-Fi router or In-building antenna system are relying on the bulky and inflexible antenna to be their wireless design, and their design are using different wiring methods for integrating the building or home design. However, most of the antenna manufacturers considered the efficiency and the performance of the antenna, but the development and the improvement of indoor antenna application are neglected in Hong Kong. Moreover, lots of building design is used a large windowed area or transparent concepts as their design signature in Hong Kong, such as Hong Kong International Airport and The Bank of China Tower in Hong Kong. Therefore, if the antenna can be installed with a large windowed area, which will not block the view, this design can provide a new choice in in-building wireless market. The antenna design is simulated and designed by ANSYS High Frequency Structure Simulator (HFSS). S-parameter network analyzer is used for measuring the experimental result. Both of the simulation and measurement results are shown to demonstrate that the performance of the proposed antenna is suitable for building network communication. |
