Abstract: | In this rapidly growing world, urban area encroaches rural area in an inevitable way. The biodiversity of suburb and green belt are threatened in all dimension. In order to understand how land use affects the biodiversity near urban area and prevent the destruction of potential wild habitats. The visualization of biodiversity occurrence will act as a crucial tool for preliminary preserving those areas before human activities reaching it. This visualization system can visualize the biodiversity prediction in the form of map, with the results from the data mining model built on ecological and environmental data, including the geographical information (Elevation, terrain). This system is now developing in its early stage with limited features and functions for comprehensive analysis in urban planning. However, it can utilize the capability of various data mining techniques in analyzing ecological data. Bringing a new approach to understand biodiversity in a much easy way. |
