dc.description.abstract | To prepare our engineering students for the advent of a new era of robots, we propose to develop two experimental modules to enhance learning experience of students. The laboratories will complement traditional classroom materials, offering students more engaging hands-on activities. The two modules are designed to introduce students to novel research areas in robotics: soft robots and origami-inspired robots. The platforms will be tailor made based on educational hardware and software tools developed by world-class researchers at Harvard and MIT. Students will have opportunities to innovate and foster their own ideas while learning about emerging robotic technologies, reinforcing their experience on discovery-enriched curriculum at CityU. | en_US |
