Enhancing learning experience and critical analysis towards scientific literature

Abstract

Reading and evaluating scientific literature is an essential part for every scientist. I am implementing the critical evaluation and analysis of scientific literature in the undergraduate course BCH3081 Chemical Biology of DNA and RNA. This teaching initiative will allow the BCH students to expose to most up-to-date scientific literature related to DNA and RNA, and more importantly, the student will discuss with classmates and teacher in class about the selected scientific literature, as well as presenting their critical analysis on the selected scientific literature. This teaching initiative will enhance their learning experience in class and facilitate students to explore and understand clearly the importance of reading and evaluating scientific literature.
