In order to suit the needs of different learner, personalized learning is believed to cater for different learning styles. “Gaming to learn” can be a way to achieve personalized learning in an innovative and attractive way. The Algebra Maze is one of the examples of “Gaming to learn”. It visualized Math in an attractive and fascinating way in order to arouse student’s interest in Math, and to assist their learning in algebra. The game is now in an early stage of development and is lacking in levels and variety. The players may easily lose their interest in the game. What’s more, it may even out of compete with others educational game in the market. Therefore, it is important to advance the game. In this project, a new function and automation in maze generation were added. Trap is the new feature added. It makes the game more challenging and fascinating, and encourages students to think more. Moreover, there are 10 levels of auto-generated maze added into the game now. The maze in these levels looks different every time when players access them. It adds in variety and randomness into the game.en_US
