dc.description.abstract | The food demand is significantly increasing because the world population keeps growing up. However, the crop yields are gradually declining; the gap between food demand and food supply continues to widen in the foreseeable future and exacerbate the food crisis. This project is going to show the idea of increasing the planting efficiency by the benefits bring from the technology economically. A one-stop automatic gardening system is designed. There is fourpart in this project, including a monitoring kit, artificial intelligent classifier, mobile application, and cloud storage. With the monitoring kit, the real-time environmental status in the farmland and planting can be viewed with the mobile application in anywhere anytime. The automatic irrigation system is also included in the monitoring kit, which works base on environmental status. The artificial intelligent classifier is used for detecting the growth stage of the target to remind the farmer to harvest the plant in the best timing. All the reproduced data are upload and saved on cloud storage for further data analysis to increase the planting efficiency by enhancing the system performance. Lettuce will be the experimental target in this project. | en_US |
