Abstract: | Global Positioning System (GPS) has been widely used in past few decades. However, it could only provide adequate performance in indoor positioning due to signal interference and obstacles. While indoor positioning technology using visible light communication (VLC) has been suggested to improve the performance in indoor positioning. A simulated indoor positioning system using VLC is presented in this project. The system is based on LEDs and a photodiode as transmitters and receiver, with algorithm calculating the received power to perform indoor positioning. A simulated positioning system with an accuracy of 2.5 cm is achieved. |
