In future network, there are three roles participating in network framework, including infrastructure provider, tenant, and end users. Infrastructure provider owns the whole physical network and resource, such as switches, cables, firewalls and servers. These network resources are provided to tenants and end users in the form of Infrastructure as a Service, allowing them to design their own virtual network and deploy various software and applications. Tenants who are some service providers would like to rent some network resources to build their platform and provide services to end users in the form of Platform as a Service and Software as a Service. End users are customers who consume services provided by infrastructure provider or tenants to fulfil different needs. Taking cloud computing provider Amazon as an example, tenants and end users can rent computing resources from Amazon Web Services. Instead of buying, owning, and maintaining physical data centers and servers, users can just consume computing power, storage, and databases through internet within a few clicks. It is a similar concept to infrastructure providers sharing their network resources. In this project, we would act as infrastructure provider to allocate our network resources to tenant efficiently at the same time fulfilling tenant’s demand on service quality. Therefore, we would do virtual network embedding in this project. By solving virtual network embedding problem, we can find out the best routing, allocating right amount of resources, minimize the cost at the same time.en_US
