dc.description.abstract | In the project, we use the Computer Vision system to recognize Chessboard and chess piece. The system can recreate a digital chessboard for calculating the best move. This application is running on Python, our objective is implementing the system with the Raspberry Pi for computation. The system can detect changes of chess position and find the best move in real time. In the world, there have many similar auto play chessboards, but no one has design for xiangqi (Chinese chess). Therefore, we want to design the auto play chessboard for xiangqi, which is one of the most popular board games in China. Moreover, Xiangqi also has long the history, is relate the china culture and history. (Wang, 2017). There held the World Xiangqi Championship since 1990. Hence, we hope the project can share Chinese chess to more people. This is the reason why we select xiangqi without other chess game. This project will cooperate with another student to build automated Chinese chess machine. The finished result can play Chinese chess game with any people. The procedure will be capturing the board with camera. Then process the image for the best move. And finally controlling a robot to move the chess. | en_US |
