Abstract: | In recent years, China's high-speed rail industry has developed rapidly. The Chinese government is also actively promoting the development of high-speed rail industry to be oriented by technological innovation. From the Economic perspective and data analysis method, this paper discusses the rationality of government investment in high-speed rail construction projects. Taking the Shantou Bay Tunnel in the construction of Shantou-Shanwei high speed railway as a case study, this paper analyzes the impacts and challenges of the project from the aspects of natural environment, social impact and government debt, and attempts to question the rationality of some experimental high-speed railways invested by the Chinese government. |
