Abstract: | This Final Year Project (FYP) aims to build a smart campus application using indoor positioning. The project aims to according to real life project structure to build. This project includes a Content Management Server (CMS) and an iOS application. CMS server is built by Django while the iOS application is built by Swift. Currently, indoor positioning application is common in used. Some exhibition guiding apps and shopping mall apps use this feature. For example, shopping mall 313@somerset in Singapore used iBeacon to do indoor positioning to locate customers and deliver retailer information to users. When students have tutorials in college, tutors may use the attendance sheets to record the attendance of students. In modern age digitalize this procedure is current trend. Using some card readers to let students tap their ID card or Octopus card on it is one of the methods digitalize the taking attendance procedure. This project provides another method to digitalize this taking attendance procedure and in more modern way. The FYP results a mobile application for students to view their current classes, taking attendance and view their attendance records. Besides it provides a basic management system for admin users to manage the iBeacon and add or modify course and class information of school. |
