dc.description.abstract | To satisfy the future development of wireless communication systems, which provide a high-speed data transmission, therefore the fifth generation (5G) is introduced. The main advantage of having 5G is to give higher download speed, the increased speed is given by using a new frequency radio wave, which is higher than current cellular networks. Both sub-6GHz and millimetre-wave (mmWave) classified as 5G frequency, they are having high transmission. Sub-6 GHz is using similar frequency range to 4G, starting from 450MHz to 6GHz. For mmWave, it uses much more higher frequency range which is starting from 24GHz. In this paper, two 2-way Wilkinson power dividers that equally separate the power input into two will be introduced, both are expected to have -3dB loss in port 2 and port 3. For the first power divider which used in sub-6GHz frequency, it was using microstrip for designing and 3.5GHz was chosen as the centre frequency. For the second power divider used in mmWave, substrate integrated waveguide (SIW) was used for the design and 26GHz was chosen to be the centre frequency. Besides the power divider, a diplexer that contain two filters inside is designed to separate the two 5G frequency bands. All the designed items are using Roger RT/Duroid 5880 dielectric substrate with height of 0.508mm and relative dielectric constant of 2.2. | en_US |
