dc.description.abstract | Augmented reality (AR) technology has existed for a decade, yet it is not widely adopted on the web. Although this technology is not fully supported on the web, it is possible to make a web AR project using current resources. It is worthwhile to study how web AR applications can be built, and the limitations for web AR technology in the current stage through web AR application development. This report describes the design, implementation, and evaluation of a web AR game project. In this game, the player can interact with any item that appears on the screen. The results show that web AR can enhance the browsing experience, but it only provides a certain degree of interactivity. WebXR Device API has potential, yet it requires further development before it can be comparable with the native AR software development kit. It is recommended that developers should build a simple application with effective experiences instead of a complex application with fancy animations. | en_US |
